Cleanse. Hydrate. Protect. Each step has a purpose. Together, they clear oil, stop breakouts and fade acne marks.
Strip skin once, oil glands fire back twice.
Most cleansers use sulphates, soaps and scrubs that weaken the barrier, so oil rebounds within hours. Oil Clear Face Wash breaks that loop, and keeps skin at pH 4.5 to 5.0 so the salicylic stays active.
Gets inside clogged pores and clears them.
Why 2%? The max for a rinse-off wash. Strong in the pore, gentle on the barrier.
Proof · Draelos 2025Proof · Eady 1996Soaks up extra oil from your skin's surface.
Why 1%? Enough to soak up the surface oil in a quick wash.
Safety · CIR 2022Calms oil at the source and fades post-acne redness.
Why 5%? Leaves the proven level on skin to control oil.
Proof · Draelos 2006Loosens dull, dead skin on the surface for smoother skin.
Why 1%? A light polish, enough to smooth, not enough to sting.
Proof · Uchida 2003Proof · Herndon 2014Leaves a thin water layer so skin isn't left tight.
Why 0.5%? Enough to keep skin hydrated through the wash.
Proof · Pavicic 2011Leaves skin soft, not tight, after cleansing.
Why 0.5%? The touch that stops the just-washed tight feeling.
Proof · Johnson 2016Gives a cool, fresh feel while you wash.
Matches your skin's natural pH, so it cleans without hurting the barrier.
Proof · Ananthapadmanabhan 2004
Oily skin is still thirsty. It's a paradox.
Skip moisturiser and the barrier weakens, triggering the exact excess oil you're fighting. A lightweight, non-greasy moisture breaks that cycle, with salicylic slow-released for 6 to 8 hours.
Keeps pores clear all day with a slow, steady release of salicylic acid.
Why 1%? Low and time-released. Active all day, never harsh.
Proof · Winkelman 2013Keeps oil in check and calms redness all day.
Why 2%? A comfortable leave-on dose, working morning to night.
Tones skin and calms redness.
Why 1%? Enough to refine pores, gentle enough for daily use.
Proof · Piazza 2022Proof · Dauer 2022Fights daily damage that leads to marks and extra oil.
Why 1%? A standardised level with real antioxidant power.
Proof · Yoon 2013Proof · Elsaie 2016Shields skin cells from pollution and daily stress.
Why 0.5%? The clinically-used level for full environmental defence.
Proof · Buenger 2004Locks moisture onto skin for 12+ hours and soothes it.
Why 0.1%? A tiny amount does it, no heavy, greasy feel.
Breakouts aren't random. They feed themselves.
Sun stress raises oil and clogs pores, and clogged pores feed the next breakout. SPF 50 PA++++ from new-gen filters shields skin so the loop stays under control. No white cast.
Blocks a wide range of sun rays evenly across skin.
Why 10%? The filter load that delivers broad-spectrum SPF 50.
Proof · Couteau 2009Soaks up and bounces away sun rays, and stays stable in sun.
Why 4%? Strong, stable protection with no white cast.
Proof · Herzog 2002Proof · Kaur 2019Adds screen and blue-light defence on top of sun protection.
Why 0.1%? A small active dose with proven blue-light benefit.
Proof · Vertuani 2004Forms a shield that stops pollution sticking to skin.
Why 0.1%? The amount that forms a full pollution-blocking film.
Proof · Li 2019Adds light comfort so the sunscreen never feels dry.
Why 0.2%? Just enough slip. Comfort without clogging.
Proof · Huang 20091°C cooler skin means about 10% less oil.
Set a little higher than the other steps to keep the sun filters stable.
Sweat, dust, heat, humidity, screens, late nights. An Indian day hits oily, acne-prone skin hardest, and most routines quit by noon. This one keeps working while you get on with your life.

Sun on the bike, dust in the air. Sunscreen stays put, no cast, no melt.

The oiliness that used to show up by noon, doesn't. Fresh through the afternoon.

Sweat and sport all over your face. Doesn't clog pores, breakout free.

The night that would've left skin dull and tight? Still calm, still clear.

"For the last nine months, I've quietly been building something in skincare, for all of us. It's called Unhype. I didn't want to launch anything that didn't meet my own standard. Products that work, fully backed by science, where I know exactly what's in them and why. Then I met a team that owns their R&D and manufacturing, and they didn't want me to just be the face, they wanted me to co-build it. I tried every single version on my own face. Nine months later, here we are. No BS. Only what works."— Vijay Deverakonda, co-founderPre-book VD Signature Routine, Now →

Founding 200 · #084An SPF number means little without proof behind it. The in-vitro test measures the UV filters in a lab; the in-vivo test measures the actual SPF on human skin. Testing both ways is the gold standard. It's how you know SPF 50 PA++++ is real-world protection, not just a calculated figure. Ours is validated both ways by an independent lab.
UV darkens every healing breakout. Marks that would fade in weeks become months. Pollution further clogs your pores. Sunscreen isn't optional in an acne routine. It's what stops the loop restarting.
1 · Face wash. Cool water, massage 30 to 40 sec, rinse well, pat dry (don't rub). 2 · Moisturiser. One to two pumps on slightly damp skin, wait 30 sec. 3 · Sunscreen. Two-finger rule across face and neck; reapply every 3 to 4 hours outdoors. PM is the same, minus the sunscreen. Patch-test before use. Used morning and night, the routine lasts about 30 days.
Patch-test before use. The base is sulphate-free and paraben-free, no alcohol, no soap base, so it cleans without stripping. If your skin is new to actives, start once a day and build up.
A short adjustment period can happen when introducing active ingredients like salicylic acid. You may notice a few small breakouts initially as existing congestion comes to the surface. This is referred to as purging. However, not every reaction is purging. If your skin feels irritated, or you experience persistent redness, burning, stinging or discomfort, stop using the product and give your skin a break.
Patch-test before use and introduce the routine gradually.
Yes. That's menthol and menthyl lactate, kept below the sensitivity threshold. It's a fresh, cooling feel, not your skin reacting; cooling the skin even helps it make less oil. If you'd rather ease in, use the wash once a day to start.
Up front we name every active with its %, No BS. The complete INCI for all three products is on our INCI page.
Skin doesn't run to a schedule. And results don't happen overnight. What you can expect is progress over weeks.
First, less shine.
Then, fewer breakouts.
Finally, marks fading.
Active cystic or Grade 3 to 4 acne is a dermatologist's call, not a skincare routine. See one first. And if you're on prescription retinoids or actives, check with your doctor before layering.
